Georgia Cycling Fayette County Trail Rangers

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The program emphasizes play and connect as its core theme and focuses on skill development through gameplay, making new friends, and fostering a love of the outdoors. We embrace diversity in skill level, gender, and ethnicity, welcoming students from all backgrounds—homeschoolers, first-timers, and those with special needs are encouraged to join. There are no tryouts or cuts—everyone rides in our multi-group, structured practices. If you live in Coweta, Carroll, Fayette, Southwest Fulton (Chattahoochee Hills/Palmetto), Meriwether, or Pike County, we have a program tailored to your rider.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

HELMET

With safety rating certified for mountain biking that fits your head snuggly but comfortably. The helmet should be free of dents, cracks, or defects. We recommend helmets be replaced every two years.

NUTRITION

Water bottle is mandatory!  Don't forget to bring a water bottle and a snack on those hot summer days! Staying hydrated and fueled will help you stay energized and ride your best!

CLOTHING

Clothing appropriate for the weather (warm layers and a rain jacket if necessary, or light breathable clothing for when it gets hot)

BIKE

Geared mountain bike with knobby tires of at least 26-inch tires.

REPAIR GEAR

A tube that fits your tire, tire levers, and a mini pump. A quick link that fits your chain is also a good idea.

SHOES

Closed-toed athletic shoes or mountain bike specific shoes

TEAM COMMUNICATION

All team communication is handled through our TeamSnap app. Once registered with the team, the team director or head coach will send an invite through email for the application. Once the app is downloaded onto your phone, it's a one-stop location for all team communication, schedule of events, practice plans, and more.
